you want to be hurt
A small, light-brown coloured fae slid through the entrance of camp. It was barely reaching sun-high and the poor feline was rather confused. She was unsure of her actions, of what was going on with Misty and Holly. They'd been acting ever so weirdly recently and getting more violent than ever and it scared her so much, and the fact that she could never hide from them made it even worse. The tiny apprentice could still hear their voices racing through her head, hammering through her skull. They hurt, oh, they hurt. Asphodel trekked through EchoClan's territory, a sigh slipping from her maw. Foxfoot, where are you? The light-brown coloured fae wondered; did she expect an answer? Of course not, it wasn't like she would get one that was intelligent anyway. As she heard them following after her a tiny bit of agitation rustled through her veins and it caused her to skid into a run, struggling to get away from them. The least she could do was try; she had been told by them themselves she would never be able to hide, to hide from the voices that struck her every day with fear and dread of what would happen next, would they hurt me would they hurt my friends. Not that she had any friends. Most figured she as weird or demented, considering what had happened barely even the first day she had ventured into EchoClan and found her fate in their paws. It was all their fault, Asphodel tried to remind herself but a part of her whispered, no it's all yours darling! Why don't you just give in already? She wanted to scream, anything. She would do anything to get them, those barely on her tail, she noticed as she looked behind her with her malachite-hued chasms, away from her. Just let me disappear! Anything! Her mind pleaded within her, but of course they would disagree. They would always stay with her, always and forever. Until you go. The whispers reminded her. Her alabaster-toned paws slid to a halt and the poor fae nearly fell on the rocky terrain beneath her; they had found her. She could see Misty coming towards her, a smirk on her face, so genuine. Maybe I can trust her..? Asphodel thought, her grass-green hued gaze wandering over to the duo. "Sometimes I wonder how you ever got accepted. You can barely handle being near us." Holly's grin grew wider as Asphodel found herself backing away from her, her eyes wide and her honey-coloured bodice trembling with fear of them, of their even existence. The small apprentice could barely breathe; the words caught in her throat and she had no idea how to reply, how to speak as she glanced at them with her malachite-coloured gaze. Part of her wanted to scream with horror and part of her wanted to give in, to obey so they wouldn't harm her or anyone she actually had a liking towards. Could they..? Part of her was still flourishing with the wonder of if that could happen, nobody knew of them or seemed to be able to see Holly or Misty at all and they never believed her when she spoke about them. Misty slowly padded next, her fur nearly touching Holly's as she smirked and noted, "Awe, look at how scrawny she is. You're so pathetic, Asphodel." Asphodel felt herself flinch and struggled to hide it but, as usual, it was to no avail. She lowered her terrified gaze and tried to calm down; as if she possibly could. They were taunting her again, and soon enough she would give them what they wanted. Her frustration was slipping in and her oculars slowly lifted, trying her hardest to not tremble, trying to seem at least somewhat defiant. "Leave me alone," She whispered. She could hear their voices mixing, mingling together now inside her mind and bringing havoc inside her. Her maw opened but nothing would come out; nothing to erase the thoughts that continued to linger despite her wanting them to and struggled to destroy her. Maybe, somehow, one day they will, she thought not saying anything as they continued tormenting her with every breath they seemed to take, every motion made. If only she had the courage to stand up for herself, if only she had the ability to be able to forget about all of this and leave the past behind. If only they would go away at least once, maybe that would be enough. Although, she knew they wouldn't. They would never leave her alone. The two 'figments' of her mind would always be there, making her want to scream and rip herself apart with every second that passed by. Always, so they would tell her. Seeing Holly's smirk just made it even more worse and slowly a scream sounded from her larynx as she glared at them, wishing, praying, begging for them to leave. "Just leave me alone!" The fae finally ended up snapping out at them; her anger having slipped and she struggled to not breakdown, to not let them hurt her, although, what was the use of trying any more? Asphodel found the question dragging her down, losing herself in her thoughts once more as she tried to forget them, to keep her mind off of them. Their voice always woke her up, crashing down on her like the rain would in a terrible storm. "Please.." The tiny light-brown fae pleaded, her voice quiet as it usually seemed to be. Of course, they laughed at her, just as she expected they would. "Look, we broke the kit again! Why do you even try any more?" They asked her, did they expect a reply? She hoped not; she didn't want to reply, afraid of letting her anger control her words, even if she didn't want them to. She didn't want to talk to anyone, she didn't want to be near anyone, especially them. She just wanted to fade away, anything to get away from them; how wonderful the thought seemed to the young feline. To run away from them, though... as if that was possible. "We'll always be with you, Asphodel." Misty reminded her, her voice stern as she glared at the trembling feline. "Always." The hallucination whispered angrily, still smirking. Asphodel felt herself fall onto the rocks, her tail curled around her snow-white paws as she tried to forget, tried to think of something better, anything would be better than being here, dealing with this, with them and it all. "Why?" The apprentice murmured, lowering her malachite-coloured gaze fearfully.
