She stopped to convince herself and put her ears up. This tingling feeling on her back might be right. She thought she finally heard that rustle behind her among the grass, a noise that she could barely identify in the strong winds. She turned, her face neutral but her eyes hiding extreme annoyance. The day was clear. It was a fantastic view that anyone could enjoy, honestly. A wide field of grass opens up to you, and your eyes searching endlessly on the horizon. The blue sky's edges touched it, along with the little white clouds. And to top it up, the bright sun was nearly to its climax. Cool winds blew on your face, reaching your back and finding its way between your fur.  Heatherpaw was sort of here for that. Today was hectic. She sensed the hot and cold non-physical air that has formed around her camp and she hated it. Nobody had noticed her though. Her grey pelt blended in the greyness of the cats. She was alert of this fact too, and decided to use the rare chance to sneak away. It was not honourable, and she knows it, but it began to cloud her thoughts somehow. Just what is the purpose of clans? She wondered, as she slid away to the forest to find some freedom.  She ended up in the sunny moor somehow. The trees were beautiful, but it still made her feel tiny and trapped. She continued her way until the land has ran out of trees. It felt like being hugged for so long and then released, and opening up to a wide open field sort of surprised her. Still, it was the open skies that she wanted. Sunny with a chance of rabbits. But Heatherpaw felt something behind her all along. She decided to not look back just to have fun with it. There were three possibilities of her stalker: dangerous, which is her senior; annoying, which would be her denmate; troublesome, which would be a stupid little kit riding on her tail all along. InkStripe walked in the forest, looking for freshkill, when he heard a sound not far away, curious of who or what it could be he sneaked into the bushs and watched, it was a cat, not too young but not old either. He creeped closer, staring at the cat with his bright yellow eyes which looked almost like the sun. He kept walking, almost a tail-length away. He stared at the grey cat, and started clawing the ground causing a screeching sound that would cause a grown cat to howl at it. "Hi, what do you think you're doing here? A kit shouldn't stray so far from its little group of mousebrains?" he showed his teeth as he talked. He looked at the cat and asked, looking almost uninterested "Whats your name? Or do you clancats call yourselves by sounds." he smiled abit, but more of a taunting smile. He almost forgot what he came here for and just wanted to stay here and taunt the clancat. "Wow, clancats are short. I don't really give a mouses-tail but you all fight like kittypets, with your dumb belifs, what in the hay is a starclan some kind of magical land where foxs fly and rabbits eat cats? Not taunting or anything." He said it all sarcasticly while licking his paw.

It wasn't as Heatherpaw expected, but nothing really interests her anyway. It was a cat she didn't recognise, and that's how she knew that the tom was not a clan cat. But what loner bothered to even speak with her like this? It must have been a rouge. She examined the rouge closer. He simply has yellow eyes, a black and brown pelt, and a huge body. He was so muscular, he probably had muscles for brains, Heatherpaw had thought. She heard all the taunts the rouge said. None of them hurt her. It felt really funny to her instead. Small and short? It was all of an advantage in battle. She could outrun this rouge and ambush him. And Heatherpaw half-heartedly believed in StarClan. Not that she hated it. It was just out of her concern... until she dies and sees StarClan for herself, that is. Heatherpaw was only curious on what will happen next. The rouge was now licking his paws, expecting her to cry and yell at him with pride. No. Heatherpaw was not that kind of cat. She didn't even care that the rouge was trespassing her clan's territory. She counted all the advantages and chances she has. The rouge is huge and muscly, and obviously dumb. He's strong, but he's slow. She's smaller, faster, and trained. That means she could escape, or ambush him, or even have a chase until the rouge tires out. So if Heatherpaw could outrun him and keep her reflexes up, she could survive without a scratch. Her safest place would be in the forest, so just in case the rouge attacked, she could run to the forest. But she didn't plan to escape. Confident of herself, she did her next move: She laughed at him freely. Because it was Heatherpaw that was entertained. Not the rouge. And she wanted more. The wind blows from the side of their faces. The sun was shining from above. The cool grass was below their paws. It's another beautiful day, and another exciting one for the grey apprentice. "Why, what a nice way to say hello!" Heatherpaw said, smiling wide, her green eyes staring right at the rouge's. She looked almost cheerful and happy. And unafraid. There's no reason to be scared.  "Come, let's enjoy the view while the sun is still shining." Word Count: 403 words.                              "Why, what a nice way to say hello! Come, let's enjoy the view while the sun is still shining."
the gray cat said with a smile. Inkstripe was angry and irritated, this cat wasn't scared nor' was she protecting her ego, she just sat there smiling, looking at him. Inkstripe felt so much at the same time he became confused, the only emotion he understood was anger and that was the only one he planed to use in his life.

      Inkstripe wondered if he should attack the cat which was the most easy thing that ever came into his mind, or wait for the right time. Most of the time, with cats like this he would attack them, but he felt it was to easy since this cat was just a kit, and to him this would be easy game.

         Inkstripe face looked  confused just like his thoughts, he looked toward the forest and back to the kit, he wanted to be sly but his emotions were overcoming him, "I asked what your name was, are you going to tell me or not?!?" he said almost trying to bite his lip. It came out all raspy sounding like he was coughing almost. 'This kit is going to squeal soon enough or I'll just make it squeal.' he kept thinking again and again.

         Inkstripe knew she laughed before, this made it worse, it was like she was taunting him, and to him a taunt is a threat to his pride and honor. 'I hope your mommy and daddy are here because I'll need to show somebody your dead lifeless body.' He wanted to say this so bad to the kit who was making him angry, but knew this would cause it to run and he knew he wouldn't be able to run through the thorns and small cracks. His claws kept unsheathing and then coming out again it was like he wanted to pounce but didn't want to ruin this great chance, "I guess you won't mind if I sit here. Funny how you don't care for your little crowfood of a territory and won't outrun an intruder, who might I say is better looking then most of you fleabags out of it?." he said the last part with a tone he knew would make fun of the barncats who gossiped and what he would overhear in the clans from queens who couldn't be quiet.

"Just.. hold your.. horses, mate." A grey blue silhouette emerged from behind the thick foliage of one of the trees in the garden, contemptuously glancing down at the big-sized canine below the branch she was seated on. Her tail lashed behind her, but she paused briefly to pull herself together before slowly but confidently clawing her way down onto the ground. "Do not make me regret the decision to like you." she hissed, raising one paw with claws unsheathed as the dog tried to follow her. "Till next time!" A graceful leap placed her atop of the fence that secured the twoleg garden. Without looking back, she waved her long, thin tail in goodbye, and dug her claws into the soft wood of the fence before making a leap for the ground on the other side. She glanced over her shoulder as she trotted away. Dogs, she thought, wondering what could have gone wrong along the way causing her to end up liking these big, messy, troublesome distant relatives of hers that were said to be a twoleg's best friend. Her senses had already made her aware she was in clan territory, but she didn't stop once to reconsider her destination. After all, it wasn't any clan territory borders she was trespassing. It was HiddenClan's. She knew for the filthy scent of those four-legged idjits was all over the place. Having once been one of them, she already knew about their poor patrolling abilities anyway. It was a possibility that she might in fact stumble upon a dawn patrol one day out of sheer carelessness. But today is not that day. She moved on at a brisk pace, keeping her whole body close to the ground and waiting to reach the safety of a couple of bushes before she even started thinking about getting comfy. Not a single heartbeat had passed when her attention was fully captured once again. Not too far off, a tree-length at most, two rats  were mouthing on about clan nonsense. Or, at least, that was her first thought. With the wind blowing away from her, she hissed under her breath as she failed to catch the scent of either cat, although she had already assumed they were both HiddenClan. Or maybe they weren't. Her one ear pricked, for the word "name" seemed to have been carried away by the breeze more than once. Clan cats don't introduce themselves to each other. Plus, even if they did, they most certainly wouldn't do it with bristled pelts and bared teeth. The she-cat suddenly relaxed herself, finally having figured out the most probable play that was being performed out there. One of those jellyfishes is one of ours. "Can't we all just get along?" a single meow disrupted the oh  so amazing choir of hisses and spitting that filled the air around that oh equally amazing sunny moor that brought back so many memories. More like a spit of land loaded up with rabbit poop. "You, young fella!" she continued cheerily, arriving in front of the two cats and ironically addressing the huge spotted male that stood at one side who, obviously, was in fact older than she was. "What gives you the right to disturb the serenity of all the inhabitants of these gorgeous lands? Not feeling like the center of the universe like you did when you hopped out of your mother's belly I hope?" she went on without a single care in the world about the hostility in the tom's posture, while a taunting smile was crossing her features. Her burning red gaze briefly travelled away to settle on the other cat next to her; one significantly younger grey lass, who yet seemed to be enjoying the situation all the same. She sensed the big rouge getting irritated. Heatherpaw could already see his face having a mad expression. His yellow eyes seemed sharper from anger, but his mind was as blunt as the young apprentice had predicted. She prepared herself for a double-leap as an escape both from the tom's claws and jaws, her tail flicking with confidence. "I asked what your name was, are you going to tell me or not?" She heard him demanding. Was that all he could come up with? No. There was another insult that was so horribly delivered, Heatherpaw didn't quite catch it.  She tilted her head to the side and looked right at the rouge's with wide green eyes. She looked really innocent, and to two-legs, cute, but that wasn't what she wanted to give out. She frowned, giving him a sad, mocking expression. It was her other way of laughing at someone. She laughed because he was lacking of wits. She laughed because she was more prepared.  "Not going to, then?" She said, as if she ignored all the taunts and took a 'no' as the answer. Then, her face grinning to an evil smile, the words came out of her mouth. "I pity you." Just when the rouge looked like he was about to explode, a voice, different than what the two different cats had, interfered. It was in a nice calm way, of course. Heatherpaw expected nothing too heroic... because she obviously needed no help.  "Can't we all just get along?" She said. Now, the newcomer turned to the rouge, and addressed him with a taunting smile. "What gives you the right to disturb the serenity of all the inhabitants of these gorgeous lands? Not feeling like the center of the universe like you did when you hopped out of your mother's belly I hope?" Heatherpaw had snickered quietly, her voice covered down by the winds. She realised that the rouge was a pathetic, lonely cat and just wanted some attention, in a pathetic way.  She turned to look at Heatherpaw. The first thing she noticed was her piercing red eyes. She had never seen such red eyes before, and she thought it was beautiful. Then she examined her whole body. Her pelt has no markings, and her whole body was in the colour of dark, dark grey... almost blue, but Heatherpaw decided that her almost blue pelt was her eyes just tricking her. Black suits her better with her red eyes. She wanted to tell her that she looks amazing, just right there, before she realised that it's just going to be totally out of the topic. "She's right, you know." Heatherpaw coughed. She looked at the rouge. "Why not practice by talking to a squirrel first?"                                         Inkstripe watched the kit with bright yellow eyes which kept geting more sharper with anger, his ears already backing to the edge of his face, his fur bristling with every breath he took, his mind geting damper with anger. The gray cats mouth opened only to taunt him even more but one sentance which took it too far, "I pity you.", Inkstripe couldn't take this any longer he wanted this cat dead no matter what, he didn't care any more about how young this cat was or how much of a disadvantage he was at, 'Why would anybody pity me, I'm better then them ALL they have no RIGHT to pity me!'.

              Suddenly his attention fell from the kit to the trees he swore he smelled something, not a clancat, not a poor wandering kittypet about to meet his demise, but another rouge. "You, young fella!" this voice was calm, but to get into this was a mistake. Inkstripe looked behind himself only to see a beautiful dark colored cat with bright red eyes, this she-cat's eyes were amazing they allured him to the fact he was calming down, her pelt was shining in the sunrays, it seemed almost a bright blue. "What gives you the right to disturb the serenity of all the inhabitants of these gorgeous lands? Not feeling like the center of the universe like you did when you hopped out of your mother's belly I hope?" this was easy to answer for him, as this was a question formed in all diffrent ways, even hostile. "What gives them the right to keep this 'gorgeous land' to themselves, and act like they own this place, clawing up cats who show up, just like the twolegs!".

                           Still keeping his angry tone and posture, wanting to settled his gaze back to the cat he wanted to finish this with, he had no fued with the other rouge, yet. "Why're you here anyway, came here to yell at me for coming here when you're doing the same?" Inkstripe said this as he circled the blue she-cat, not forgeting the gray kit, but still he wanted to talk to the rouge, he wanted to set the cat straight.

A quick flash of flaming red eyes and a flick of an ear was all the blue female chose to do to acknowledge the grey she-cat's soundless snicker. She weren't on either side of these two muttonheads, however she couldn't help but admit to herself she was sort of rooting for the HiddenClan she-cat who had enough wit and incredible patience to take on such a mindless, yet fairly intimidating beast like the one they were facing. For one split second, she pretended to spin around and glare at her through direct eye contact, though the next moment her gaze was resting over the partially-spotted tom, her posture calm and relaxed. "She's right, you know."  You don't say!  The she-cat's tail lashed once, but her jaws remained firmly shut. She didn't need another little idjit to perch on her shoulder and tell anybody that she was right. She  knew that she was right. And her own opinion was the only one that mattered to her. Her head was still facing towards the tomcat's direction, but her glance slowly shifted towards the other she-cat. She didn't normally pay the least bit of attention towards the young. Why should she anyway? But this one.. This one was different. There was nothing out of the ordinary about her soft grey coat and glimmering green eyes, no. She did, however, have a certain vibe. One of the little things that stood out. "Why not practice by talking to a squirrel first?"  She had potential. What are you waiting for among these douchewads? You're better than them, was what she'd like to tell the young cat, if they weren't in the company of one  more. One that was indescribable. She returned her attention to said one, who had actually seemed to have suddenly decided to examine something other than the ashen she-cat, and consequently quit angrily muttering nonsense for five seconds. With a single closer look, the red-eyed lass realised that something was her. What a peculiar thing you are, she reflected, then bared her razor-sharp teeth in an attempt to distract him. "What gives them the right to keep this 'gorgeous land' to themselves, and act like they own this place, clawing up cats who show up, just like the twolegs!"  She paused, still eyeing the tom, to think about it for a second. It wasn't like he was wrong, was it? "Fair enough." she muttered, turning to look the green-eyed lass' way. "He's a point." she shrugged, her whiskers twitching with doubt. It weren't as if she didn't know how the clan cats' minds worked. After all, she once had a mind of her own that worked the exact same way. "That's not just their fault though, is it?" she spat, abruptly turning back to stare right into the tom's golden eyes. "It's not their fault you choose to trespass clan borders while being completely unable to keep your trap shut. Little do they know, all you need is skill and stealthiness, and their lands are also yours." She held her ground while the tom raised a paw. Her tail whipped from side to side wildly behind her, though her ears were in place and her lethal fangs were shielded still by her lips. It wasn't concern that could be sensed in her eyes. It was a single flash of panic, followed by sheer annoyance. "What is that? Are you getting sleepy?" she snarled, raising a paw with claws unsheathed as the tomcat began to circle her. "Check out your own butt, will you? I'm not food for thought." Her paw dropped back to the soft earth, her claws piercing it with ease and leaving a claw mark. She twisted around fleetingly, catching the other female's gaze at once. "The hell are you still doing here, doll? Isn't the plan to run off and fetch your little mouth breathing dick monkeys? That's how business was carried out in my time at least." she spat, before turning around to glance up at the brown-black male who was pacing around, unbothered still. "Why're you here anyway, came here to yell at me for coming here when you're doing the same?"  Out of the blue, the blue lass' posture relaxed again, a good old amused smile taking over her features. Her tail was raised, and her tone converted from firm and menacing to her previous cheery and teasing one. "Is that what I made it look like?" she whimpered, as if hurt and ashamed. A heartbeat later she straightened up again, her ironic smile nowhere to be seen. "My sincerest apologies." She settled herself on the grassy surface of the field, casually raising one front paw and beginning to clean it up on the edges. "I swear, that was not my intention. I just happened to be passing by." she wiped her paw over her forehead twice, then shook her head and looked up at the tom, her flaming red gaze piercing right through his. "You see, I take my own advice, and so should you. Their land is also my land." she nodded towards the HiddenClan she-cat, then rose to her four paws and pulled herself to stand right in front of the yellow-eyed tom. Good grief, Heatherpaw thought, he sounds like a little kit about to cry. Before she could thought of a reply, the other loner spoke up. "Fair enough. He's a point." She looked at her, as if she was the best of them all. As if, Heatherpaw repeated in her mind. "That's not just their fault though, isn't it?" The dark grey cat began to speak again. "It's not their fault you choose to trespass clan borders while being completely unable to keep your trap shut. Little do they know, all you need is skill and stealthiness, and their lands are also yours." Heatherpaw remained calm and neutral under that. She was only annoyed because the loner suddenly jumped in and took all the words that she should have said. Damn, this isn't how I wanted it to go. The rouge started circling the loner (Heatherpaw just knew she was a loner - rouges aren't that calm and witty, she heard). There was this uncomfortable atmosphere clouding up, until the loner looked at her. "The hell are you still doing here, doll? Isn't the plan to run off and fetch your little mouth breathing dick monkeys? That's how business was carried out in my time at least." Little mouth breathing dick monkeys? Why, what a description that Heatherpaw has been thinking all along.  See, the problem Heatherpaw was all cool from the start, that because today she didn't really feel like she belonged to HiddenClan. If you followed her story, she'd have a very lovely kithood with adorable friends (most of them she never really touched), but after apprenticehood she felt most of her responsibilities as a clan member. So many rules. So many forbidden things. And the dramas over clan territories? Heatherpaw might once be told off to chase off other cats from their territory, but she did it less than half-hearted. But she never thought of escaping and running away from her clan either. Physically, she might be fast, small and stealthy. Running away was one of her techniques, and independence was one of her main traits. She's learned most of the stuff. She knows how to survive, at least. And she thought that she's never destined for a life with company, anyway. Yet she still sleeps in the apprentice den and talks to her sister. Besides, her whole freaking family is there. Most of them complete. It made her a little bit uneasy. But here she is, right now, in the outskirts of her clan's territory, with two total strangers. And she's not chasing them off, like how Heatherpaw would do. What was happening again? Oh, yes. She was visiting the sunny moor when this rouge tapped his paws on her shoulder, and she decided to take him on for entertainment. But then this loner came and... well, Heatherpaw didn't need to be here anymore. The loner will take care of everything herself and Heatherpaw could just sit back and enjoy. Maybe a patrol's going on now, and they'll caught them just when the young apprentice had hid herself in a tall tree. Time for her to move on. "That's business in your time," Heatherpaw finally spoke up after a long silence, and she was looking right at the dark grey loner. She took a wild guess from what the loner had said and pointed it out. "Who knows if maybe once you used to be just another hard-headed, oversensitive cat. Just like my jolly mates, even if one of them or not." Heatherpaw grinned a little. "Come on, you know that there's nothing good about having the same thing over and over again. I bet they'd spoil your fun." Heatherpaw looked at the yellow-eyed rouge, keeping her grin. "Have fun, gorilla." Then she turned away and walked further calmly, having no intentions of escape, but no intentions of returning to camp either.
