Quick description : Small, dark grey, short-haired, tom with black tabby markings on ears, forehead and tail and amethyst violet eyes.


Description : Pigeonflight is a short-haired, rather small looking, thin and lithe tom. He is slender and delicate, his eyes are round and bright, his whiskers white and short. His glossy, soft and downy short-furred pelt is a dark, ash grey. His ears are a jet black, while the inner fluffy fur is a pale silvery-grey. On his forehead are thin black tabby markings. A long black stripe is traced on his back from the base of the neck (back of his head) to the tail-tip while dark grey and black spots, speckles his shoulders and hindquarters. His slick, slightly longer than usual, tail, is ringed with black while the tip is a pure white. His four paws bear dark grey toeless socks, starting from the end of his pure white toes, the socks are a dark, almost black, grey, which gradually fades to a paler grey, having completely faded off at his wrists, middle of the foot for the hind paws. He has a splash of white on his narrow, dark grey chest, and a smaller one on his forehead, his chin is also white. His small, triangular, nose and pads are a dark grey and his eyes are a deep amethyst purple.

Personality :

Clumsy and quiet : Pigeonflight is quite clumsy, he’ll often trip in his own paws, making him wish he could disappear underground. He also has trouble measuring what he says before he speaks, making him an easy target for jokes and being made fun of. In a conflict or a fight, Pigeonflight will stay away, preferring to stay quiet rather than risking saying something that wouldn’t make sense, his words often stay unheard, as he’s talking very softly. Only rarely raising his voice, other than when he’s very excited or angry.


Shy : Pigeonflight is extremely shy, he’s almost always on his own. In a group he’ll sit alone in a corner waiting for someone to talk to him instead of walking up to the others by himself. Pigeonflight gets extremely uncomfortable when he’s stared at, which happens often, due to his unusual eye color. For this reason, and for his shyness, he’ll probably never look at you straight in the eye, preferring staring at the ground or at his paws.

Sociable: Even though Pigeonflight tends to spend most of his time alone when he isn’t with his littermates, he’s sociable and friendly; he just doesn’t know how to approach the others. He likes being included in a group, or meeting new friends. The main difficulty being the first contact, but once he knows you or is fully integrated into a group, he’ll stay loyal and do everything he can do to help and be useful.

Loyal: Pigeonflight is loyal to his Clan. The Clan above everything: he’s ready to give his part of fresh-kill if it can save a queen or an elder. But it doesn’t mean he can’t be loyal to his friends too, if you’re in trouble or need help, count on Pigeonflight, he’ll always be there for you.

Disciplined and respectful: Breaking the rules is something Pigeonflight wouldn’t imagine ever doing, he admires the leader and deputies and respects them. He follows the Warrior Code in its more tiny details, except for some rules concerning the exploration around the camp (*u*).


Sympathetic and friendly: When you talk to Pigeonflight, you’ll realize that past his wall of shyness, awkwardness and discomfort he’s sympathetic and friendly, polite, attentive and enjoys your presence. Once he is at ease with you, he becomes so talkative it’s nearly impossible to stop him.

Compassionate and caring: If you need to talk, Pigeonflight will be there to listen, he has an attentive ear and is compassionate and empathic. He cares a lot about the ones he loves, ready to make his own needs pass after the others.

Calm and patient: Pigeonflight is definitely not the kind of personality that would stir up trouble, he can spend long hours sitting and listening in silence. But if you break his shell of calmness (by bringing a living mouse in the camp and letting him chase it for example) he’ll become an unstoppable bouncing bundle of fur, as excited as any kit or apprentice.*, he'll easily become excited and energic.

Bright and curious: His ears and eyes are always alert, he always wants to know more. Even if he stays quiet most of the time doesn’t mean he can’t have his own opinion, Pigeonflight always know more than you think he’d know.

Unsteady and sensible: Other than being especially clumsy, which makes everyone think he’s unsteady on his paws, Pigeonflight has some troubles to control his emotions. He can be bubbly and cheery, then snappy and angry the next minute. If Pigeonflight feels a certain way, you’ll know it soon enough, he’s not good at hiding things and a very bad liar. It’s easy enough to make Pigeonflight react, he’s often called a she-cat by the other cats, or even weak of feeble because he’s more sensitive than the average tom (and more than many she-cats >w>), but you know that his heart’s always at the right place.

Confused: One of Pigeonflight’s worst fears is to be left behind, and when he doesn’t understand what’s going on, he may start to panic, confusing himself even more.

Nervous: Even if he may appear calm from the outside, Pigeonflight’s heart is always beating fast, his ears are pricked and his eyes open. It doesn’t take a lot to make him jump and in stressing situations he’ll start panicking, not knowing how to react and making him useless. Keeping his blood cold isn’t something Pigeonflight can do easily. (Random fact: Surprisingly, Pigeonflight isn’t scared of blood like his mother, but of the dark. His eyesight being weaker than the average, he can hardly see in the dark, but he can hear every sound in the night crystal clear. He may panic if he’s left alone in a dark place)


Gullible: Sadly, any cat being a bit convincing can make Pigeonflight believe anything, which exasperates his mother. This little default can be pretty dangerous, Pigeonflight can be blindly involved into any mischief by following the rest of the group, not wanting to be left behind. Hopefully, this part of his personality will calm down as he’ll grow up; into a fine warrior I’m sure.


Appearance: Pigeonflight’s rather smaller than the average cat, he has the size of a female but with a male body. He’s lithe, slender and lean and everything about him seem delicate, his head has a light triangular shape, his nose and paws are small, his eyes round, his tail slightly longer than the average and even his whiskers seem fine and fragile. His body shape gives him a slight Siamese look even though he’s a mix of tabbies (European shorthairs).


Abilities: Fast runner, good climber and strong swimmer, Pigeonflight also has strong hind legs, which lets him do impressive leaps. His reflexes are sharp and he’s silent, he has rather bad eyesight, but an excellent hearing and sense of smell. Due to his clumsiness, he often misses his prey, tripping into his own paws or miscalculating the distance between his prey and himself. He’s not that good at fighting either, but it’s just enough to defend himself.

Delightful application! I'm always intrigued by the varying and extraordinary looks of your characters; your colour combinations are really appealing! I'd never have thought of dark grey pelt accompanied with violet eyes, but the two colours do indeed look quite attractive joined together! His personality was fun to read as well; you usually see brave, muscular and ambitious males but this lad's more like a she-cat trapped in the body of a tom. xD

I usually make a blank lineart and try as many different color patterns as I can and choose the one I like the best :3 (I noticed recently that my three characters's main colors are: black, grey and white XD Probably because it's easier to draw them traditionally that way when I'm scetching !)

The name Pigeon inspired me for a fearful and shy tom xD those birds always seem so nervous.
