{QUICK DESCRIPTION}
A russet long-hair cat
{IN DETAIL}
Ruffledwhisker is a long-furred tom with a russet hue. His muzzle is smooshed in a tiny bit, and he has a 'mustache'. His eyes are a golden tint with bits of orange mixed in. Both of his front paws are snowy white, and one claw is missing from birth. His whiskers are scraggly from an apprenticehood mishap, and he has a snaggletooth. Ruffledwhisker's nose is a light pink, and he has flecks of white, especially around his muzzle, mixed into his pelt from old age. He has a slight limp on his back leg from falling out of a tree when he was a warrior. All in all Ruffledwhisker is not the handsomest cat, even when he was at his healthiest age.
{PERSONALITY}
|CRANKY|
This trait developed over time, and like most elders can be described, Ruffledwhisker is quite a cranky tom. He might be yowling about how a kit bumped into him, or that another elder was snoring throughout the night and he couldn't get his
'beauty sleep' (not that it really helps anyway).
|OVERREACTIVE|
Another foul part of his personality is that the old cat is extremely overreactive. You might find him yowling about how his nest was soaking, even when it only had a drop of water on it. Or maybe you could spy him hissing to himself how the weather is always too hot, even when the moors are windier than ever.
|STUBBORN|
Ruffledwhisker is a very stubborn tom, and therefore often does things his own way. He sticks to his point almost all the time, and won't let things go without any hassles. Of course, if he is on your side, you will have a much nicer time of discussion.
|PERSUASIVE|
As a stubborn cat, Ruffledwhisker usually gets things done his own way. Being stubborn helps the elder be persuasive, and he can often twist an argument to be in his favor.
|LOYAL|
Ruffledwhisker may come off scary and rude at first, but he is extremely loyal to his clan. In fact, he will do anything to take care of them, and although it doesn't seem like it, he will still fight to protect the cats of Whisperclan.

{HISTORY}
|KITHOOD|
As a kitten, Ruffledkit was often found sneaking out of the camp to his mother, Lightwing's, dismay. His sister, Sunnykit, would follow him, but his brother, Rabbitkit, would often obey the rules and also would rat the mischief makers out. Ruffledkit started disliking his brother because of this, but never let it get to him too much. But Sunnykit was his closest sibling, his best friend, and his partner-in-crime.
|APPRENTICEHOOD|
Soon the three were apprenticed, and Ruffledpaw was assigned his mentor, Whispyfur. The two became close friends, as any good mentor and apprentice would. He trained hard and became a good hunter and fighter, but one day he was told that he would train with his brother. Ruffledpaw knew that the never-stray-from-the-rules Rabbitpaw would probably be an easy match, so he let his guard down. But Rabbitpaw was a swift and strong apprentice, and with a strong swipe of his paw he made Ruffledpaw fall over into a rocky patch, where his whiskers were bent. Ruffledpaw forgave his brother after Rabbitpaw apologized to him, although they never were the closest. Rabbitpaw was soon renamed Rabbittail for his excellent fighting demonstration, and Ruffledpaw and Sunnypaw became Ruffledwhisker and Sunnysky.
|WARRIORHOOD|
As a warrior, Ruffledwhisker could never climb trees, but luckily he never needed to on the moor. However, in a small border tussle with Silentclan, the warrior tried to climb a tree to attack, and ended up falling and breaking his leg. His leg did not fully recover, so he still has a limp, but Ruffledwhisker was still able to continue his warrior duties. But the cost of having a limp made Ruffledwhisker retire early at the age of only 52 moons.
