So your a Medicine Cat ehh? Want to refresh your memory and familiarize yourself with all the herbs and remedies? Well you have come to the right place. Below are all the herbs[Their names, appearance, what they do, oh and there's even a picture for your references]. All information from Warriors: Secrets of the Clans.
Herbs:
Borage Leaves - The flower is blue/purple and is star-shaped. Borage has green fuzzy leaves. One of the best things to give to a cat with a fever. Also given to Queens to help increase their supply of milk.
Burdock Root - A tall-stemmed, sharp-smelling thistle with dark leaves. The root is very thick. Helps soothe rat bites and cures infection.
Catmint - A delicious-smelling, leafy plant. Similar in appearance to mint. Best remedy for greencough.
Chervil - A sweet-smelling plant with large, parading fern-like leaves and small white flowered. The juice of the leaves is for infected wounds and if you chew the roots it is good for a bellyache.
Cobwebs - Spiderwebs found all over the forest. Used to cover cuts and stop bleeding.
Coltsfoot -A flowering plant, like a dandelion, with yellow or white flowers. Leaves used to help shortness of breath.
Comfrey - Large leaves and small bell-shaped flowers, which can be pink, whit, or purple. Has fat black roots. Used to mend broken bones and soothes wounds.
Dock - A plant similar to sorrel. Soothes scratches.
Feverfew - A small bush with flowers like daisies. Cools down body temperature.
Goldenrod - A tall plant with bright yellow flowers. Used for healing wounds.
Honey - A sweet, golden liquid created by bees. Used to soothe infection or the throats of cats who have breathed smoke.
Horsetail - A tall plant with bristly stems that grows in marshy areas. Used to help induce healing and stop infection.
Juniper Berries - A bush with spiky dark green leaves and purple berries. Used to soothe bellyaches and help cats who have trouble breathing.
Marigold - A bright orange or yellow flower that grows low to the ground. Used to stop infection.
Mouse bile - A bad-smelling liquid extracted from mice.Used to remove ticks.
Poppyseeds - Small black seeds shaken from dried poppy flower. Seeds used to kill pain and helps cats in pain sleep. Not recommended for nursing queens.
Tansy - A strong-smelling plant with round yellow flowers. Used to cure coughs.
Thyme – Tall smooth-leaved plant with small leaves. Given to a cat to cure shock.
Water mint - A leafy green plant found in streams or damp earth. Cure for bellyaches.
Wild Garlic - Plant used to neutralize toxins in rat bites if bitten.
Yarrow - A flowering plant used to induce vomiting expels poison.
