Mercury is a rather bulky tom, but not only thanks to his soft kittypet life, but also his origins. Both of his parents being of a large breed, he has adapted their size. Mercury is a muscular cat by birth, meaning that under the thick layer of fur, lie powerful muscles. Though untrained and inferior to Clan-cats will still be considered a strong cat among kittypets. The thick layer of fur, that is always a little poofed up, adds to his size and can give him a somewhat agressive look.

Mercury's fur is layered, giving it the poofy look. The thick and short undercoat makes the longer fur of the outer coat stand up slightly. The colour of his pelt is a light grey that has a hue of silver or blue-silver depending on the light. A solid draker gray stripe runs over his back, starting from the bridge of his nose and ending by the tail that is completely of that colour. His bright green eyes are rounded with the same dark grey.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

To anyone who might know him, Mercury, is, like most kittypets, a lose minded and carefree cat. Through his short life he has already developed the firm need for independence and immunity to judgement of other cats. He has, in fact taught himself not to care about the negative opinions on him, though at times, he might break his own code and take it all very personally. Although he is immune to negative opinions about him, he will take any insilt directed to his close ones rather personally. Insulting his friends is most likely one of the few, if not the only way to get Mercury to snap.

As he is still young, he has yet to gain his wisdom and is, like any other youngster, always searching for answers and learning, about his surroundings and, of course, himself. Though, unlike most kittypets, he likes to venture far from his housefolk and 'discover' the further parts of the town. Despite his youth, Mercury is not a cat that is easily provoked to any kind of act of violence and will most likely try to avoid anyone showing signs of violence at any cost.

His decision to live in the favour of peace isn't the only reason Mercury has chosen to avoid fights. He is afraid to lose a fight, not that he'd care for other's opinion, but the status of a peace-holder is of great importance to him.

The hidden world hidden in Mercury's head can be devided into two -- by his moods, that is. Though, he likes to show only one side of himself, as he is afraid of his own self. Most of the time he is his usual laid back self, backing away from any argument without being afraid of judgement. Even though not the most talkative around stranger cats, Mercury will find it hard to stop his chatter around his friends. Outgoing as he is, there are a lot of those who think of Mercury as their friend. Though, he actually dislikes many, he is not keen on showing it. Most of the times he will shrug off his negative feelings about others, but when in a bad mood, he will most likely snap at them. Mercury chooses his friends carefully and likes to keep the circle of cats he thinks of as friends small.

At times, Mercury will fall into a state of constant bad moods. He will find himself thinking foul of everyone surrounding him. Any little detail will seem big enough to anger him and ruin his mood. Most of the times Mercury happens to be in such mood, he chooses to stay at his place and keeps away from any feline accounter. As angry as he can be, he will always be worried about hurting someone, ruining something.

H I S T O R Y

Mercury was born in a litter of four: along with two brothers, Pitch and Smokey and a sister, Chilly. Mercury nor his brothers and sister could stay with their mother for a long time, as they were given to other upwalkers as soon as they could survive without their mother's milk. It seemed odd to the young kitten at the time, but he later learned, mostly from other kittypet's knowledge, that he and his kin wasn't expected as Missie came from a lineage of purebred cats, and their father didn't suit to be her mate. Luckily for Mercury, he was adopted by an elderly upwalker, who took him to a completely new house.

In the first few days the restless kitten had already gone through the upwalker's shelter and to his surpise, he was let outside of the house. This was the first time for the kitten to be outside, and he started exploring the nearby areas of his upwalker's home. A few days after his first trip outside, Mercury had already started making friends around the neighborhood. He settled for the comfortable distances of his upwalker's street for a while, as he was still young and tired easily.

After a few moons however, having heard about the further, unexplored areas of the twolegplace, Mercury decided to venture further. Doing so, he ended up being lost in the town more than a few times. That didn't discourage him, as he explored further, asking for guidance from other cats and making new friends on the way. Soon, the young tom knew the twolegplace as good as his upwalker's home.

He had heard about the mysterious wild cats of the forest that lied next to the twolegplace, and even though he had been looking for them, he had never had the luck of meeting any.

Mercury in cat form feels weird cough I fINALLY get to this. Delightful application as it might be, I'll only mention that the history probably finishes off kind of abruptly- probably include a little "yet" to complete the last paragraph. Otherwise. I can't wait to see Mercy and Cyn together amg lET IT BEGIN.
