"No no no... S-stay right there!"

Too late.

The short, fat, black dog ran for her. Its nose, so short it was nearly noseless, pointed at her along with its huge, round black eyes. Its large ears shot up as it was aware of her presence. Its paws carry its heavy body forward to her, making a large noise at every step. Unlike us cats, that's what Caramel had always thought. Turning back and starting to run away, another chase began.

She ran through the whole house, passing stealthily by the two-legs, while they fuss over their dog who was over energetic - and overly noisy. She let herself slide while slowing down for a turn, and headed over to the exit. She knew this house well. She ran past the living room, to the front door, and towards the front gate. It was a low gate, yet it has bars that she could pass through - which the dog  couldn't. Caramel hopped right in the gaps, and the dog tried to follow her. But with all the efforts, it couldn't pass. "Yeah, right, ugly-face!" Caramel taunted although her voice was shaking, but she was already it relief. "Better work out so you can fit through!"

The dog barked, and it made Caramel jump a little. She decided that it would be best to get away as soon as possible. 

She looked around her. Well, I'll hang out here for a while, I guess. That gate was the only way in and out of the house that she stays in. In front of the house was a long road, with houses on each side. And from the gaps between each house, you can enter the forest. Caramel still wonders why she didn't go through that gap in the first place instead of going over through that wall, but maybe she was meant to do that since she would never get a nice place to stay in the first place. 

Caramel turned and began to walk down the road, but all of a sudden she found herself face-to-face with another cat. She froze in silence.

He lifted his head lazily from the sidewalk, why was he there? He didn't want to be there, there might be other cats there, and what if they wanted to approach him of all things they could do.

A hefty sigh sounded from his muzzle, he stretched his paws out in front of him, his claws slipping from his paws and scratching at the sidewalk with an annoying sound. He slowly lifted himself to his paws, Skiaos hated the kittypet territory, but it also meant he could get some strange tasting food. It typically tasted bad, but there was an old man that lived close by, and if he came to him he'd give him some leftovers. 

He thought of the old man, something that made him happy, however strange it might sound or even be. He was a loner, yet, still, he enjoyed the old man, he was his only friend. Maybe I'll visit him. Skiaos thought to himself, he slowly got to his fiery orange paws. 

A ruckus made the tom perk his ears up, what was going on? There was something happening though he didn't want to find out. Barking sounded nearby, but with the fences up he knew that wherever the dog was it wouldn't have access to him. Skiaos slowly went forward, he looked down at the ground, watching his shadow as it followed in step with himself. A second set of paws made him lift his head.

Skiaos bumped into a she-cat, he growled harshly, his fur raising defensively and his teeth bared. His amber eyes blazed with anger as he backed up from the skinny cat. She was an orange color like him, though had white that flanked across her pelt. She seemed tired, wore out, her flanks heaving for breath which she was catching quickly.

"You should watch where you're going." Even though he had been the one to run into Caramel, he still found himself telling her to watch her own paws. "Not to mention you're in my way..." he shoved past her roughly, flicking her on the ear with his tail, "You shouldn't get in my way." he growled.

"You should watch where you're going." The cat growled at her. "You shouldn't get in my way." She felt a flick of his fluffy tail on her ear.

Of course, Caramel didn't get this. She was right there at the front of the gates of her own place, doing nothing, and this tom cat bumped into her and he's the one who got angry. In the cat etiquette, it was unfair, and Caramel had to growl back to warn off the other cats that she did nothing wrong. However, Caramel wasn't that type of cat. She was simply too tired to fight back. She never even has the mood to fight back. The story ends boringly, though,  if she brushed it off casually and walked to her favourite hiding spot to sleep.

Caramel examined the tom. He was strong-looking. His bright orange coat, brighter than hers (she was named Caramel for a reason), made him look different than the other street cats she encountered. She gulped down her fears, but her curiosity won over. Her plans are straightforward and stupid, but brave. Maybe...

She ran and skidded in front of the tom, again, being in front of him. "Hey, I know I'm blocking your way again," Caramel grinned, as if she didn't care of what'll happen next, "but where are you from? You seem to hate being here."

He gave a hardly look at her, taking a few steps back; paw raised. She had blocked him... Though for what absurd reason would she dare do this? The white and orange she-cat had a lot of guts. She was slim, a petite cat so to say, though her legs were a bit longer and so was her tail, she was quite pretty, Skiaos had no interest in associating with females or males.

"Yes, you're correct, you are blocking my way." He voiced, his stoney eyes did not waiver from the female's face. His tail flicked to and fro in a slow motion, as if to display some of his agitation and to ward off the stiffness he felt with interacting.

"I am Skiaos..." he stated blandly, giving his ear a quick rub with one of his paws, feeling the soft fur brush against his rough pads. "I am not from around here, I live in a barn on that farm..." he paused, and pointed towards the open field not to far off, a silo sat a ways off to the side, and a barn rested near the actual house. Cows and sheep milled about lazily, grazing on the food before them. A single horse was joined in the flock. "Right there."

Skiaos took the time to think things through. The she-cat would likely keep him blocked there... He had nothing to do! She seemed spunky yet easy going, so it would be a difficult cat to just sneak by. She was likely observant with other's actions. So how would he be able to leave the awkward conversation? She seemed nice enough, they could've been friends, but he seemed himself far too antisocial for things like that.
