01. RULES

1. Accounts, Warnings, Banning 1.1 Every forum user gets one account. All of your characters should be listed in your signature. 1.2 Each member is given a limit of 3 warnings before a temporary or permanent ban is ensued. 1.2.1 Account sharing is strictly prohibited. In that case, the account that has been "lent" will be permanently banned. 1.3 The account name under which you register should be what will be referred to as your ‘OOC’ name. Make sure it doesn’t clash with another member’s character and/or OOC name. [who's who] 2. Forum Behaviour 2.1 Double posting is forbidden by rule, but exceptions can be made. 2.2 Fighting on message boards will not be tolerated. Sort your arguments out via PM or, when needed, contact staff. 2.3 Images, text or links that include inappropriate content will be edited and the poster will be given a warning. 2.4 Refrain from “back-seat” moderating (that is, trying to do another staff's job for them). If you’re not happy with another member’s behaviour, use the “Report” button. 2.5 The staff team has the right to censor/edit replies & lock threads. 2.6 Advertising is limited to the Plug-in board. 2.7 You will be expected to demonstrate proper use of the English language and grammar in all IC threads. (the chat box and the ooc boards are another deal) 2.7.1 This rule does not apply to ☿ Mᴇʀᴄᴜʀʏ(Silvs), because she’s 2cool4intelligence. 2.8 If you feel that you have been warned or treated unfairly, you are always welcome to contact the staff member that warned you, or any other person on the staff team. (we don’t bite much) 2.9 Good-natured banter is welcome, but any attempts at trolling will result in punishment. 3. Avatars, Signatures, Graphics 3.1 The size of your avatar should not exceed 150px in either width or height. 3.2 Shitty graphics are prohibited and will be banned right now immediately. 3.3 The size of one’s signature should not exceed 300px in height. 3.4 Staff members have the right to remove any graphics that do not comply to these rules. 4. Characters & Roleplaying 4.1 Every character name is expected to be at least partially realistic. (refer to ailuronymy.tumblr.com/guidelines for guidance) 4.2 Appearances and eye colours will be treated with more leniency. So long as you’re not overdoing it with rainbow eyes and crescent moon birthmarks, your character will get a pass. 4.3 Overly dramatic histories that do not add up to your character’s general personality and possibly even appearance, will be asked to be modified. 4.3.1 Basic tips to creating better tragic and traumatic backstories: springhole.net/writing/better-tragic-and-traumatic-backstories.htm 4.3.2 Basic tips for creating better backstories (in general): springhole.net/writing/character-backstory-building-advice.htm 4.3.3 Writing mentally ill or insane characters: springhole.net/writing/writing-mentally-ill-and-insane-characters.htm 4.3.4 Common problems in RP: springhole.net/writing/common-problems-in-roleplaying-characters.htm 4.4 120 words minimum in every IC post. 4.5 God-modding, power-playing, and every other term you have heard a hundred times before is strictly forbidden. Your best bet here is limiting yourself to the actions of the characters you control. If you’re not sure about how to proceed in a situation, cut your post short and let the other person decide what the outcome would be for their character. 4.6 Use a space at the bottom of your posts for “OOC notes”. Purely OOC posts in the middle of IC threads disturb the flow of the roleplay and are not allowed.
