Mating & Kit Rules

|| RP Together ||

RP Together. You must RP your characters together a minimum of three times before they are eligible to become mates. In these threads, both characters must be of Warrior status and in one of the threads the characters must confess their love to one another. After these requirements are fulfilled, you have the right to claim mate status.

|| No Love at First Sight ||

No Love at First Sight. First, it's one of the most unrealistic cliches in all of RP history. And second, there's a process that every member must go through before their characters may become mates.

|| Forbidden Love? ||

Forbidden Love. This is a shop item that must be purchased before used. Forbidden Love includes cats from different clans and medicine cats. If you want more information regarding Forbidden Love, please visit the Shop's Item Index.

|| Age ||

Age. All Warriors must be at least 20 moons before having kits. This means you may not have your characters become mates immediately after they become Warriors even if you have fulfilled the RP requirements. Let the relationship marinate for a while, no?

|| PM the Form to the Admin ||

PM the Form to the Admin. The Admin will then discuss with you any issues they come across. Revised forms will be sent back for the RPer to post in the Adoptions thread under the sub-board: Litters. The Admin may decide which kits are approved and which will be saved for another time. Names, Genders, and Descriptions are also subject to change. Feel free to discuss any ideas with the Admin.

This is the first form sent to the Admin regarding the mate status between two characters.

Two things to remember when PMing the Admin the form:

• Number of Kits. Keep this number realistic. That means, no overly large litters, unless you have special permission. Large litters heightens to the risk during birth and also the number of birth defects the kits are exposed to. Realistically, Litters should be between 1-5 kits. Anything above that will need to be discussed and approved by Staff.
• Keep the Ratio Even. Keep the gender ratio even. Unless there's only two kits, it's unlikely there won't be both she-cats and toms.

|| Adoption ||

Adoption. Once approved, the kits will be placed up for Adoption so that other RPers may enjoy RPing these kits. The RPers of the parents will be allowed to keep up to two kits per litter. The rest must go up for adoption, so choose carefully!

|| Already Pregnant? ||

Already Pregnant? Creating a character that is already pregnant or nursing kits is not prohibited. Everyone is expected to follow the same rules and guidelines. If you are eligible to have kits, meaning your characters have already become mates and been mates for a period of time, feel free to message the Admin the kit form.

|| Identity of the Father ||

Identity of the Father. In the Warriors series, it is the queen's right to keep the identity of the kits' father a secret if she wishes. This is still the case, but it only applies to RP. So all rules still apply to you. You must still go through the process of messaging the Admin and RPing the pair together before the queen can expect a litter.

|| Keep the Birth PG ||

Keep the Birth PG. Yes. I don't know about yourselves, but I'm certainly not fond of that sort of RP. It's a natural part of life, yes, but it disturbs me nonetheless, so, please, do not RP all the gory details. <3
